If one used her own eggs, that would be more like adoption, not surrogacy.
Well I guess I'm wrong. Wikipedia says that it can be either way, and Wikipedia is like gospel.Do surrogate mothers use their own eggs or someone else's eggs? What about if it's a single man wanting babby?
Not sure why this is in the "birds" section??
Surrogate mothers usually have a developing embryo (created in a test tube) implanted into their womb, this is created with the egg/sperm from the natural parents. A woman could be artificially inseminated with sperm from the husband and this would result in one of their own eggs being fertilised so the child would the theirs, so they would be the natural mother not a surrogate at all. The "parents" would then have to go through an adoption process to be legally recognised as the child's parents.
If a single man wanted a baby and he found a woman willing to provide him with a baby it would be her egg and his sperm so the child would be both of theirs, she would be the mother not a surrogate at all. If she was prepared to relinquish maternal rights then the courts would grant him sole custody.
Surrogate means you are pregnant with someone else's baby technically, it is not your biological child at all you just use your womb for the baby to grow in, its not your baby, not your genes.Do surrogate mothers use their own eggs or someone else's eggs? Single men don't have eggs silly.
