Question about surrogate mothers?

Ive always been curious about how they get the eggs out of the woman...do they put her to sleep? What happens?Question about surrogate mothers?
A woman takes drugs for a period of time to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple dominant follicles which contain mature eggs .... without drugs, generally women produce about 1-2 dominant follicles per cycle and usually only ovulate one.

To harvest the eggs a woman is put under light anesthesia and an ultrasound guided needle is placed to the follicles to extract the eggs
The egg retrieval is performed through an ultrasound guided needle trans-vaginally. You will be under a light anesthesia.Question about surrogate mothers?
I don't know, I would think they would sedate you somewhat, but I don't think they put you to sleep.
No there not put to sleep and many people who donate there eggs says it hurts really bad.
