Where can i get insurance for surrogate mothers?

I'm looking for insuranceWhere can i get insurance for surrogate mothers?
The attorney handling the deal should be able to put you in contact with an outfit to handle surrogate additional medical expense coverage. Keep in mind, this usually costs around $5,000, and does NOT pay for any of the normal birth or prenatal expenses, it only pays of something ELSE goes drastically wrong - like you get a massive infection after giving birth and need ICU care or something like that.

The normal prenatal and birthing costs should be covered by the family who's paying you to grow the baby. That's normally how it works.

Since you're asking, it sounds like you're doing a private deal. You REALLY, really need to use an attorney before you get started on this. REALLY. You need a rock solid contract.
Are you asking about health insurance? You cannot directly purchase health insurance for someone who is not your dependent or child. However, you can help someone defray the cost of health insurance by directly giving them a stipend to use toward their monthly health insurance premiums. (Since you鈥檙e already involved in a presumably financial contract with the surrogate, ask your accountant how you might have to report such a stipend for tax purposes.)

Here鈥檚 a complication, however: If your surrogate mother does not currently have health insurance and doesn鈥檛 have the option to enroll with employer-based health insurance, she鈥檚 going to have a hard time getting covered for maternity care. This becomes especially true once she鈥檚 pregnant, since pregnancy is considered a pre-existing medical condition in most states and grounds for declining coverage to an applicant. But even if she鈥檚 not pregnant yet, it will be a challenge. Some individually-purchased plans don鈥檛 cover pregnancies, and others may only cover a pregnancy after she鈥檚 on the plan for at least a year.

For more specific details about the health insurance options and regulations in your state, direct your surrogate to contact a licensed health insurance agent online or in your area, or your state department of insurance.Where can i get insurance for surrogate mothers?
What kind of insurance? If it's maternity coverage, that's part of her own health plan.

EDIT NOTE: There are multiple issues here. You cannot get insurance then get pregnant. There's a waiting period. You'll need to investigate whether a health insurer will even cover this type of pregnancy even on a policy already in force. Also, the adoptive parents generally pay for the surrogate's expenses.

You can't deliberately incur a medical expense that you're being paid/reimbursed for.
Insurance with maternity coverage. it's tough to get in most states, but my state has it. Call a health insurance broker and find out what's available in your state. There's no special insurance. You're covered if you're pregnant. They don't ask if the father is married to someone else.
Not possible.

No insurance company is going to cover you for maternity. The rates they will quote you will be start at $10,000 because they will assume you plan to get pregnant if you are asking for coverage.

The family should pay all the bills for you.
You cannot get this type of insurance. Normally, it is up to the other family to pay for your maternity bills.
