If you want to foster animals who need help, start off easy. Join your local Humane Society or SPCA and ask for training in fostering kittens, puppies and sick dogs or cats. Some of the more progressive shelters will have volunteers to take care of animals in need who are not ready for adoption. See if you like that.



Then, if you want to get more adventurous, call around to find wildife rescue organizations. You can volunteer there and learn about wild animal handling.



Educating yourself with experience is crucial. Meeting other experienced people to guide you also is crucial.
actually hyunskee you're wrong, you can't give birth to animals that is true but thats not what a surrogate mother is, a surrogate mother is a person or animal who takes in new born animals that are not their own and so not have to be the same species and you care for them like their mother would...

and teach them survival skills that are Crucial to their existence, you raise them and then send them to a zoo or some other sanctuary where they will live in captivity to breed and raise awareness about them and their species

It's biologically impossible for a human being to be a surrogate mother for animals, I believe.
