How does a surrogate mother get pregnant?

I need to know for English and if you also know how they used to get pregnant and how they do now it would help!

Thanks xHow does a surrogate mother get pregnant?
In a short story: They remove an egg from the (real) mother, and sperm from the dad, and labs fertilize it in a petrie dish...once it's fertilized, it is placed into the 'surrogate' (or host) woman that will carry the embryo to term...

Hope this helps.
Actually, they rarely use the surrogate mother's eggs. Doing so causes legal complications since the birth mother is also the biological mother. If the mother hiring the surrogate has no viable eggs, they would usually use donor eggs, so the baby isn't biologically related to either surrogate or mother. How does a surrogate mother get pregnant?
You have another couple's embryo implanted into your womb, so the woman is carrying a child from different parents. If the woman of the couple has no fertile eggs the surrogate mother's eggs are used.
