i know someone who was a surrogate after having four of her own children. i'm not sure who she was a surrogate for but she ended up with severe pre-eclampsia. it put a huge strain on her marriage as she had to spend quite a long time in hospital. she had previously had 4 uncomplicated pregnancies and labours, but was really poorly with the surrogate baby. my advice would be to really think about it before you go ahead, especially if you have a husband and children of your own because they could end up suffering if anything goes wrong! You need to make sure he is on board, and i've heard that some men find it really difficult seeing their wife pregnant with someone elses child! Sorry if this all sounds negative, but if you do decide to go ahead I wish you the best of luck, you are obviously a very kind and considerate person to put someone else's needs before your own! xDoes anyone out there have experience as a surrogate mother?
well pro's would be it pays good, your are helping someone to make a family they can not. cons you have to go though alot to even be considered as a surrogate, tests total work up by a doctor and i mean total work up. its not very easy to just become a surrogate. another con is i know you may say i know its someone elses baby and that when the time come you will be fine to hand it over but will you? you will have become connected to this child so you should ask your self this first.
