Were curious about surrogate mothers?

So were just watching baby mama...and were curious...how much do surrogate mithers actually make?? On average. Were curious about surrogate mothers?
On average in the US, a surrogate mother receives approximately $25,000 in compensation with some making more and others making less. This is in addition to the cost of maternity clothes, doctors appointments, delivery, prescriptions, life insurance policy and the fertility treatments which in total can cost over $100,000

A surrogate mother receives compensation because she is carrying the baby to term for another person but also because due to the pregnancy, she may not be able to work or make other income with the appointments and commitment of the pregnancy.

i don't think it's legal to actually pay a surrogate mother anything. However, it would be the adoptive parents responsibility to pay for all encurring medical bills and any other costs related to the baby. Actually paying the woman money to do it is no different than buying a baby through adoption, you can't do that. Were curious about surrogate mothers?
I was paid $15,000 for each of the three surrogacies I did. I would say that the average for a first-time surrogate (like in that movie) would be $18,000. Second time, or experienced, surrogates get more, about $22,000. All expenses would be paid in addition to this fee.
lol, don't have a clue but would be very interesting to know.
