I have been a surrogate mother twice. Both times were very rewarding experiences. I never came close to getting attached to any of the three surrogate babies I carried; I had my own children at home.
I did it so that I could give back to the world in my own way. I am not a rich person; I will never be able to dedicate a library or hospital wing or something like that. But in my way, I was able to change my small corner of the world while teaching my children about unselfishness and sacrifice.

I have never been a surrogate mother. I have five children expecting #6 in December. Personally, when you are pregnant you get attached to the baby before it is even delivered. I would think it would be hard to give it up when it is born. However I have donated bone marrow to complete strangers who needed help and I would consider becoming a surrogate mother. I do know that it is becoming more common. I have no clue of the cost. Best Wishes.
