Surrogate mothers?

Do surrogates have to have already had a child? I have never had my own child. but i would love to help out a couple, and become a surrogate. But it dont know if they have had to have already had a child.Surrogate mothers?

I am not sure if they have to have their own child or not but my daughter was a surro mom and giving the baby up was the hardest thing that she has ever done in her life..........I don't want to discourage any or you from doing it because there are people out there that really would love to have a baby more than anything in the world and if you can do it and have no problem with it then I say go for it, BUT let me inform you before you do it i'ts not an easy job giving up that precious angel after you give birth to it, I guess it will take a whole lot of will power to do it but the hurt will never go away........A concerned Mother
