Do surrogates have to have already had a child? I have never had my own child. but i would love to help out a couple, and become a surrogate. But it dont know if they have had to have already had a child.Surrogate mothers?

no you don't have to already have a child but they say mentally it helps the surrogate because if it is their first pregnancy it might be harder for them to emotionally letgo of a baby they give birth to. You do need to be emotionally stable with no history of mental illness and if you are using your eggs for the surrogacy then you will need a family history as complete as you can to give an idea of any problems (genetic) that might be passed on.
