What are your thoughts on surrogacy/surrogate mothers?

Would you ever be a surrogate mother?What are your thoughts on surrogacy/surrogate mothers?
I was asked this question the other day. For me, where I am with my life now, I think that I could easily be a surrogate mother for a family member (ie my brother %26amp; his wife couldn't have kids or something like that), but I don't think I could be one for a stranger. It would feel weird for me to have a kid that I would never see again.



(I have a 3 year old and am 8 mths pregnant)
I couldn't do it with my own baby, but if it was their sperm and egg I could. I think it is such a beautiful thing for someone to do, and they must be extremely special to do something like that. My aunt has been struggling after losing her baby girl at 6 months pregnant and now she can't carry a baby to term, and she's been fighting trying to adopt a little girl, but if only she could find a surrogate. I want to so badly, but I'm not a strong enough person, I don't know if I could handle it.What are your thoughts on surrogacy/surrogate mothers?
I would do it in a heart beat!



I have 5 beautiful kids and it kills me to know that there are so many women out there that want kids but can't get pregnant. When I can just blink and get pregnant.



I can't even imagine how that feels and I want all women to have an opportunity to enjoy their children the way that I do. (As long as it's their egg and not actually my child. I couldn't give up my own child!)
Personally I could never be a surrogate mother because if I carried a baby for 10 months I would never want to give that baby up!

But I respect people who do surrogacy to help others out.
you would be giving another couple something that they probably wanted for a long time. just make sure you do it for the right ppl. you know, someone you think could actually handle a child and love it.
I'm all for it, but I don't think that I could every do it personally. I think it would be too hard to carry the baby and then have to give it away.
I would do it for someone that really couldn't carry a baby but I would only do it if it was there sperm and egg. and I would use my own egg for a family member.
i emotionally cud never do it...but if it someones elses egg and sperm maybe...it wud help somebody greatly...yeah i wud ...lol final answer yes if its somebody elses sperm n egg
