its legal. I think its one of the greatest gifts one woman can do for another.
I do not know the laws of India, so I have no right to comment on that part of your question. But I would like to say that I feel that surrogate mothers are a true Godsend. It takes a very special woman to be willing and able to perform such a selfless act such as this for someone else's joy.What do you think of surrogate mothers?

If for some reason a mother has fertile eggs but is unable a carry a baby to full term than the sperm and eggs are simply joined in a dish and then inserted into a carrier.
The children are not biologicaly the surrogates. If you need eggs that what a sperm donor is for!
Also the surrogate gets paid a lot of money!
I know it is legal in the States, but I'm not sure about India.
I think surrogates are amazing. The gift that they give to a couple that cannot conceive is wonderful.
