How do you get started if you'd like to become a surrogate mother?

I have always admired surrogate mommies. I know how many couples there are out in the world who pray for babies every day, and since I was blessed with 3 wonderful boys, and I am done adding to my family, I would love to help another couple start or add to their family. How would I go about getting started? What are the requirements?How do you get started if you'd like to become a surrogate mother?

The requirements are that you be a non-smoker and have previous children. Good luck and you would be doing something great for another woman that wants to become a mother.
wow, you should check out somewebsites that others have left for you and maybe check laws and regualtions in your state.

Actually, they look at the history of your other children, and they also look at how well you birthed them. They also look at HOW WELL your children are DOING in skills, in school, social situations, and flaws. (no retardation, etc)

You need to have excellent health. Contact a lawyer who specializes in surrogacy. It is possible that your state does not support surrogacy (mine doesn't), so that should also be considered.

Just type in 'surrogate mother' in google and see what comes up. It looks like there are many agencies that work with surrogate mothers, so you'd just have to find a program in your area and go through the screening process. If they take you, they'll match you with a couple that needs a baby.

usually the hospitals from the state(like duke) you live in have info..or fertility clinics you would need to call them..there is an age requirement usually..good luck
